ngFredoka — a typeface you can build on, on-chain, forever.

This isn't a picture of a font. It's the Fredoka typeface itself — a warm, rounded display face — minted as a BMF atom: a reusable building block in the Block Media Format library, living permanently on Bitcoin.

(BMF — Block Media Format — is on-chain-native media that's referenced, not embedded. Mint a piece once; compose it into anything, forever. This is yet another atom in that growing set.)

The idea is simple, and a little radical. Today every card and every storybook hauls its own copy of a font, the same tens of kilobytes over and over. Instead: mint the font once — right here — and let everything else just point to it by txid. One font, referenced endlessly. Cards stay feather-light, the type lives once, and because it's on-chain it can never be taken down, gated, paywalled, or rented.

A card or a book simply references ngFredoka by its txid and renders in it — carrying none of the font's bytes itself. Drop it into either, or into anything else built on this rail.

The type & the credit. Fredoka, by Milena Brandão, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 — free to use, her name written into the ledger permanently. Attribution that can never be stripped, because it's welded to the chain. (A Latin glyph set — the letters, numbers and marks you reach for most.)

Why it's here. Because Bitcoin was always more than electronic cash — a permanent, permissionless substrate for the things people actually make. A font is just one of the things it was always able to hold. Owned, not claimed.

And the cover? A live, self-animating specimen rendered from this very font — outlined, wiggling, twinkling. What it shows is what you get.
